History made new

Why?

Today, technology has made so much of the world's information instant-access, and given us steady streams of inspiration in the form of tweets, blogs, and pins. Yes, this is awesome. However, the best creative resources are sometimes the ones that require a little bit of real-world digging. One such resource is the fourth floor of Wilson Library at the University of Minnesota, a quiet study space packed full of curious and thought-provoking old books. Named in honor of this treasure trove of inspiration, the Fourth Floor Foundry is a type foundry dedicated to the idea that history is worthy of exploration, examination, and revival, through the design of typefaces that are contemporary, beautiful, functional, and accessible to everyone.
